Digital agency appoints new Creative Director

Tuesday 11 July 2017

Jersey-based digital agency Webreality has appointed Richard Hardy as its Creative Director.

In his new role, Mr Hardy will be responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of Webreality’s client work, including web and application design, brand development and content production.

Mr Hardy, who was born and educated in Jersey, has worked at Webreality since September 2015, when he returned to the island after 20 years living and working in the UK.

Mr Hardy has worked for London-based design and digital agencies as well as The Guardian's digital production team before running his own furniture business in Somerset.

Announcing Mr Hardy’s appointment as Creative Director, Webreality’s Chief Executive Matthew Robins commented: “Talent and experience like Richard’s are very rare in Jersey. We knew when we first met Richard that he was a digital professional of the highest calibre.

"The unusual breadth of his skills and experience is important in an agency that spans many creative disciplines. At a time when we’re growing our capabilities in copywriting, video production, design and branding, the leadership of a seasoned digital creative professional is increasingly important for our clients’ success.”

Commenting on his new role, Mr Hardy said: “I was aware of the great work that Webreality was doing before I returned to Jersey in 2015, and it was good to meet a team so focused on producing excellent user experiences for their clients.

"I’m excited to be leading the creative output of the agency, and building on its fantastic reputation for digital production and client support. We will continue to help our clients build their businesses with creative content and design strategies.”
