An experienced investment manager with a longstanding relationship with Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management has resumed a full-time role in the Jersey office of the business.
Russell Wynn has worked with the firm, and previously Collins Stewart which was acquired by Canaccord in 2012, for 20 years.
More recently he has been consulting for the firm, in particular looking after a major fund client and a number of high net worth private clients. He has also been conducting research and analysis on companies and sectors, specialising in UK equities, and contributing to the market intelligence of the business.
Canaccord prides itself on its proprietary knowledge, recommending investments from an approved list of stocks and funds that is constantly monitored, based on an in-depth knowledge of companies and sectors.
Now Mr Wynn is to return to a full-time role as a senior member of the Jersey stockbroking team.
Prior to joining Collins Stewart in 1996, Mr Wynn worked for the then S. G. Warburg & Co and James Capel in the City.
He said: “I have witnessed all the ups and downs of the markets over the last two decades. I am a value investor and by focusing on value I have avoided being sucked into any of the bubbles – tech, banking pre-credit crisis and commodities – over this period. I look forward to being a full part of the team once more.”
Grahame Lovett, who is responsible for Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s offshore business, said: “Russell has unparalleled experience in his core areas of expertise and we welcome his return to a full time role.”
Canaccord employs more than 100 investment professionals in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
