Final call for Hospitality Job Match scheme worth £1,155 to employers

Monday 14 March 2016

Employers in hospitality have until the end of today to register for a Hospitality Job Match recruitment event tomorrow - and potentially to receive grants worth up to £1,155 for taking on new locally-qualified staff.

The event takes place at Mimosa on Liberty Wharf and more than 15 potential employers in the restaurant, bar and hotel trade have already signed up.

The event is organised by Back to Work and is a chance for employers to meet local pre-screened candidates for work.

Assistant Social Security Minister Graham Truscott said: “This is a great opportunity to match locally qualified jobseekers, who want to work in hospitality, with employers who need to recruit staff ahead of the busy tourism season.

"We are trying to save employers time and money by gathering our best candidates together in one place, so they can meet selected candidates, conduct initial interviews, and make their recruitment decisions quickly and easily.”

Candidates must register to attend the Hospitality Job Match, so anyone interested should contact their Back to Work Advisor.  Employers who would like to be involved should contact Back to Work on 447411 or, by email backtowork@gov.je.
