A senior figure in national cyber security will be one of the speakers at a free seminar being held later this month.

Until recently, Dougie Grant was responsible for responding to significant cyber incidents at the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre. He is now a UK-based director at Tokyo-headquartered Nihon Cyber Defence.

The title of the event, which will be held at the Royal Yacht on Tuesday 16 November from 09:00, is: ‘Is there a Ransomware Pandemic? How do we prepare ourselves’.

Organised by local cyber security company Defence Logic, other speakers include Matt Palmer, who leads the Government’s Cyber Emergency Response Team, and Paul Dutot, Defence Logic’s Chief Technology Officer.
