Funding will be the subject of the next Moore Stephens and Close Finance networking event, being held on Friday 15 May as part of Enterprise Week.

A panel of Jersey’s leading finance providers will discuss how the world of business funding has changed now that the economy is improving and discuss what these new approaches mean for businesses and Jersey’s funding landscape.

The panel will be moderated by former journalist and entrepreneur Phil Bouchard and features experts from the world of lending and private equity. Ed Daubeney is the managing director of Envestors Jersey and assists companies looking to raise equity finance from private investors. Peter Funk is chairman of the Jersey Business & Tourism Development Fund and is a lifelong entrepreneur with extensive experience in starting and developing new business enterprises in the international telecoms and media markets.

They are joined on the panel by Julian Box, CEO of Calligo, a technology company, Richard Harrop, director of Sancus Limited a peer-to-peer lender, Adam Dawson, managing director of Close Finance CI and Stephen Ogborn, Head of commercial banking in Jersey for Lloyds Bank.

Jo Gavey, Associate with Moore Stephens Accounting and Business Services said: “This is a great line up of panellists for the funding for business event. Local companies will be able to get a great deal of insight into the different opportunities for funding available to them and hear from leading experts in the field of how best to pursue growth for their business.”
