Hawksford director invited to join panel of experts at prestigious awards

Hawksford director Mike Powell has been invited to join the panel of experts at the tenth annual STEP Private Client Awards.

The prestigious awards highlight excellence in the wealth industry, championing the successes of private client solicitors, lawyers, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisers. Hawksford has enjoyed success at the awards in recent years. The corporate, funds and private client business picked up the accolade for ‘Owner-Managed Trust Company of the Year’ in both 2010/2011 and 2012/2013.

An additional layer of highly experienced and knowledgeable industry professionals, or panel of experts, has been integrated to further strengthen the rigour of the awards. Mr Powell joins this handpicked group of practitioners following his success on the panel of experts at the 2014 STEP Awards, and as a presiding judge in 2013.

Mr Powell said: "STEP’s Private Client Awards represent best practice in our industry. It is an honour to be involved as a judge for a second year and to be associated with such a significant event in the wealth calendar. I am looking forward to reviewing the work and performance of the industry’s leading lights of the past year and providing recommendations for my chosen category."

As an expert, Mr Powell will be responsible for providing at least one recommendation for his selected category as well as the People’s Choice ‘Trust Adviser of the Year.’ The winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London on 8 September.
