IQ-EQ makes strategic French acquisition

Tuesday 06 August 2019

IQ-EQ has acquired a Paris-based consulting firm and fund administrator dedicated to the private equity market.

Established in 2009 by its principal, Sebastien Peru, Peru & Partners will add fund administration, CFO services, GP and portfolio company accounting as well as valuation services to Equitis, IQ-EQ's existing business in Paris, which provides fund management and escrow services.

Serge Krancenblum (pictured left), Group Executive Chairman, commented: "The acquisition of Peru & Partners is the natural choice to build out our service offering in France, the fourth largest private equity market in the world. The combination of the teams’ experience and longstanding reputation for client service excellence perfectly complements that of our existing business, Equitis.

"With an extended and highly experienced team in place we now have the ability to offer an even greater range of services and solutions to our growing client base in this key market. I’m delighted to welcome Sebastien and his team to the Group and look forward to exciting times ahead.”

Sebastien Peru (pictured right), President of Peru & Partners, added: “Joining forces with IQ-EQ, one of the world's leading investor services providers, delivers Peru & Partners the means to further accelerate its growth in France, a market with significant potential. For us becoming part of a global group can only benefit our current and future clients, not only from the expanded range of services we can now provide cross jurisdictionally, but also as a result of the deep and highly experienced pool of resources that a larger business can deliver.

"For the Peru & Partners team being part of a larger group brings significant benefits to each of us personally and professionally. We are excited to be joining the Group and look forward to playing an important part in the Group’s future success.”
