Isle-Fly: a new private air taxi solution launches

Wednesday 10 May 2017

Jersey Jet Centre Ltd, a locally-owned and operated Jersey company, has launched a private air taxi solution based at Jersey Airport.

Known as 'Isle- Fly' it aims to provide simple, quick and reliable charter solutions to business and leisure travellers.

Using an eight-seater multi-engined Cessna aircraft, giving the option to fly to destinations up to two hours from Jersey or Guernsey, the founders believe the service is the perfect choice for both corporate and leisure groups.

Colin Wright, Founder and Commercial Director, said: “Isle-Fly is a functional and efficient proposition that the Islands desperately need, bridging the gap between scheduled flights and expensive jet charters”.

“It’s your plane, your way.  You choose when and where you want to fly.  We can access smaller airfields that get you closer to your destination, avoiding the congested larger hubs. It’s the perfect solution and we are extremely excited to be launching today.”

As the service establishes itself, the company promises that additional aircraft will be added to the fleet offering a combination of jet and propeller charter options.

The launch of the new service is welcomed by Ports of Jersey.

Group CEO, Doug Bannister, said: “The introduction of this new product is very exciting, and offers customers more choice in travel options from the islands.  We hope this product will become very popular, and wish the new company every future success with their plans."
