Les Amis has achieved a Silver Investors in People Award – becoming the first organisation in the Channel Islands to do so under robust new rules.
The Silver Award standard places Les Amis in the top five per cent of 14,000 organisations assessed and registered with Investors in People across the world.
Having first achieved Investors in People status three years ago, Les Amis is the first organisation in the Channel Islands across the public, private and charitable sectors to successfully complete accreditation after a new, more robust process, known as the Generation Six assessment process, was implemented last year.
Shaun Findlay, Managing Director of Les Amis, said: “I cannot thank our amazing Les Amis staff enough for all their hard work and support in achieving the high standards required to receive this award. We have been constantly developing since our last assessment and are so proud that our efforts have been recognised. This isn’t the end though. We will continue to strive as an organisation to do better and be better for our residents and staff.”
The award is benchmarked against industry standard and focuses on leadership, support and commitment to improve.
Andrew Mackey, Independent Assessor for Investors in People, who also carried out the original assessment in 2014, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Les Amis and reflects the significant changes and improvements that have been made over recent years. You should be really proud of what you are achieving and of the staff who deliver your services. It has been a pleasure doing the review and I look forward to continuing to work with Les Amis.”
