Change management consultancy, Marbral Advisory, has grown its GDPR practitioner team in the Channel Islands with more than five qualified staff at Foundation level and five qualified staff at Practitioner level.
The firm says it has been working with a training agency to deliver certified training at Foundation and Practitioner levels and has, so far, supported more than 80 delegates from a variety of sectors in Jersey and Guernsey.
Leonie McCrann, CEO (British Isles), Marbral Advisory, said: "Marbral Advisory is leading the way in supporting organisations towards GDPR compliance, both locally and in Europe. We invest in our people to ensure they are leading in their fields of expertise. So, our partnership, coupled with our clients' demands made training many of our change and project architects in Foundation and Practitioner level training, a good strategic decision.
"We regard 2018 as the 'Year of Data' and as such, we are already supporting several large organisations with their GDPR preparation. The training has not only enhanced our team's existing knowledge of the regulation but it has allowed our change agents to share their knowledge with our valued clients."
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC from 25 May. It has been designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.
