Marketing Awards Ceremony Goes Pan-Island

Tuesday 20 January 2015

The Chartered Institute of Marketing will be staging its annual awards ceremony in March and for the first time welcoming entries from all Channel Islands-based marketers and organisations.

Previously only available for Jersey-based entrants, the 2015 Channel Islands Marketing Awards will celebrate excellence in marketing across all Channel Island industries at both an organisational and individual level.

Scheduled to take place on 20 March 2015 in Jersey, the event will include ten award categories such as Best Brand Campaign, Best Use of PR, Marketing Team of the Year and Student Marketer of the Year.

Entries for the Channel Islands Marketing Awards 2015 will open on 26 January and a brand new online entry portal will enable submissions to be made swiftly and conveniently through to the closing date on 20 February 2015. Further details of the awards, including an exciting new venue for the ceremony, will be announced on the CIM website: cimjersey.com.

In another first for this year’s event, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ (CIPR) Channel Islands Group will be partnering with the CIM Channel Islands branch, specifically to support the Best Use of PR award and provide one of the three judges on the panel. Main sponsors for this year’s Awards include The Beach Communication as Creative Partners, Delta Production Services as Event Partners, the Jersey Evening Post and Guernsey Press as Media Partners, Gallery Magazine as Awards Programme Partners and Switch Digital as Digital Partners.

Steve Cartwright, Chairman of the Channel Islands CIM Branch, said: “I am delighted that, in the form of the Channel Islands Marketing Awards, we will now be able to recognise marketing excellence across both islands. We are very grateful to our sponsors and partners again this year, without their support the CIM Awards wouldn’t be possible.

“Our focus this year is to reflect the rapidly changing environment that marketers face, requiring ever-greater levels of innovation and creativity, areas in which we feel many local firms excel. By widening the net for the first time, we expect to see even more iconic and ingenious work being showcased this year at our Channel Islands Marketing ‘Oscars’.”
