Friday 14 July 2017

Minerva has appointed Stephen McCormack as Head of Minerva Middle East DMCC, the group’s office in Dubai.

In his new role, Mr McCormack will have responsibility for spearheading Minerva’s GCC growth strategy.

Prior to taking up this position, Mr McCormack held roles in Jersey with JP Morgan and more recently Standard Bank where he had responsibility for trust administration teams and for developing their trust business. Mr McCormack holds an honours degree in Management with Trusts and Estates from The University of Manchester and a Diploma in International Trust Management awarded by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Steven Bowen, Minerva’s Group Managing Director, commented: "Minerva’s business in Dubai continues to go from strength to strength and together with our other offices plays an increasingly important role in the arrangements of our global client base. I am therefore delighted to welcome Stephen to Minerva, he will be a strong addition to the leadership team in the UAE and across the group."

Commenting on his appointment, Mr McCormack said: "At a time of great consolidation in our industry I am very pleased to be joining the truly independent Minerva group. The company’s closeness to its clients, and its dynamism in an increasingly complex financial environment, place it in prime position for further growth - I’m very much looking forward to contributing to that growth."
