A charity that helps islanders with disabilities into employment has appointed the HR, Training and Community Manager of Liberty Bus as a Trustee.
Nikki Withe has been supporting the work of the Jersey Employment Trust over the past few years.
She will join Helen Ruelle, Christopher Leck, Carl Howarth, Lorna Pestana and Steph de la Cour on the Jersey Employment Trust (JET) Board of Trustees.
The charity, which helps people with a disability to prepare, find and maintain employment in the island, says she will be a welcome addition to the Board given her HR expertise, social enterprise knowledge and experience and disability awareness.
Geoff Cook, the Trust's chairman said: “Nikki has a great track record in supporting people with disabilities. She has been a real catalyst for good at Liberty Bus and brings a natural energy, affinity with and enthusiasm for what we do.”
Mrs Withe added: "I’m passionate about inclusion and I felt that the good work JET does in getting their clients work-ready is something I could help with. I’m really looking forward to working with the board to further strengthen community relationships."
