JTC has appointed its Jersey Managing Director to the position of Chief Commercial Officer.

In addition to his new CCO role, Tony Whitney will also take a Group Holdings Board (GHB) position. He remains Managing Director of JTC’s Jersey office, a position he has held since 2015.

He will work with both Institutional and Private Client Divisions to develop growth strategies.

Reflecting on his new role, Mr Whitney said: “Having been part of JTC for a couple of decades now, I feel well placed to continue to help support our growth plans by working closely with my colleagues across all divisions and departments as CCO.”

Commenting on both promotions, Nigel Le Quesne, CEO JTC, said: “Tony and Jonathan together hold a substantial amount of expertise and experience within JTC, so I am pleased that they have both achieved these promotions.

"Tony’s new role as CCO will be invaluable to the future direction of JTC’s commercial business and I am certain we will continue to see positive results under his leadership. Jonathan is the perfect candidate to step into Tony’s shoes in the ICS division and I am looking forward to seeing this business line also thrive.”
