Eight staff members across professional advisory firm Grant Thornton's Channel Islands offices have started the year with a promotion.

Lucinda Overbury, a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 10 years' experience who specialises in Jersey corporate compliance and advisory services, was made a Tax Senior Manager in Jersey from 1 January.

She was described by the company as playing "a crucial role in advising clients on complex tax matters, particularly in relation to local investment and regulated companies" as well as helping clients navigate changes in tax.

Ms Overbury was joined on the list of promotees by Luke Bridle, in Guernsey, who was made Audit Resourcing Senior Manager, as well as Audit Assistant Manager Maureen Panta, Tax Assistant Manager David Krievins, Tax Senior Richard Foster, Recovery and Reorganisation Senior Simon Le Gallais, Risk Assurance Senior Associate George Le Feuvre, and People and Culture Senior Administrator Reena Soni.

Cyril Swale, Head of Grant Thornton’s Guernsey office said: ‘’With a team of more than 240 across the Channel Islands, we are delighted to be able to recognise these talented individuals on their well-deserved promotions.’’
