Quilter Cheviot International hires three financial planners

A local wealth management business has announced the hire of three financial planners to grow its proposition for international clients serviced out of its Jersey office.

Gillian Schweppe, Matthew Fielding and David Lockhart have all joined Quilter Cheviot International as financial planners.

Both Ms Schweppe and Mr Fielding join from SG Kleinwort Hambros, while Mr Lockhart joins from HSBC.

It was previously announced in September that Quilter Cheviot International had appointed Kevin Speake as head of advice to lead on the new financial planning proposition. The advisers are supported by paraplanner Anastasia Smith.

The company hopes that the introduction of financial planning capabilities into Quilter Cheviot’s Jersey office ensures it can offer international clients an integrated wealth management offering comprising of both financial planning and investment management.

This means Quilter Cheviot will be able to give a consistent offering to higher net worth clients across the UK, Europe and internationally, while being able to accommodate the specific circumstances of the countries the client resides in.

Kevin Speake, head of advice at Quilter Cheviot International says: “We are delighted to have Gillian, Matthew and David on board, who all come to us with a wealth of experience.

"They have all hit the ground running and their capabilities alongside our bespoke discretionary fund management will provide a best-in-class service for our international clients who have a variety of complex needs and circumstances.”
