Senior additions to offshore corporate team at Barclays

Barclays has made two senior appointments in the offshore corporate team in Jersey.

Kris Moors and Scott Monks have been appointed relationship directors and will have responsibilities for complex and diverse portfolios of multi-national corporate clients.

There is an added focus on acquiring new clients who require general banking and cash management services. Their customers operate in various sectors and countries, with a significant proportion in the natural resources sector, Africa and emerging markets.

Mr Moors joined Barclays in 2007 and has worked in the offshore corporate team in Jersey since June 2014. He holds a degree in political science from the University of Birmingham and before moving to the island held the role of relationship director in Barclays’ corporate team in the Midlands.

He said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of managing a complex portfolio of high value, multi-national corporate clients. Barclays is delighted to be in a position to offer this bespoke, dedicated offshore corporate service for multi-jurisdictional clients and it’s exciting to be part of the team at the helm.”

Mr Monks has worked at Barclays for ten years having joined the Bank in 2005. Before moving to Jersey in October this year he was based in the North West where he managed a portfolio of clients with up to £100m turnover.

He holds a BSc in Business and Management and is currently studying part-time for a degree in Banking, Economics and Finance with the University of Manchester.
