Senior appointment at C5 Alliance Group

Monday 10 March 2014

The C5 Alliance Group has appointed SharePoint and CRM expert Mark Macrae to its growing team of senior consultants.

Originating from a development background, Mr Macrae has considerable expertise in Microsoft platforms including Dynamics CRM, the Business Intelligence stack and SharePoint.

He has worked with Dynamics CRM since the first version and has implemented solutions in the finance, insurance and health sectors.  Since 2003 he has worked with SharePoint in varied public and private sector roles covering the entire project lifecycle with an emphasis on getting the best return on investment from the product.

Alongside consulting roles, he previously held a directorship for a UK-based consultancy and is well-versed in heading up major projects in the UK, Australia and now the Channel Islands. He regularly speaks at international events - such as SharePoint Saturday and the SharePoint User Group UK on his specialist subject – and also co-organises events including SharePoint Saturday.

Aonghus Fraser, C5’s SharePoint lead consultant, said that Mr Macrae will be an invaluable addition to the SharePoint, CRM and Business Intelligence teams within C5.

“Mark is a force to be reckoned with in the SharePoint world and has a very impressive track record. His expertise will be important as C5 continues to grow and meet the increasing demand from local businesses for effective, integrated solutions,” he said.

“Beyond this, he will be instrumental in helping put the Channel Islands on the map as part of the wider community. We already have plans for regular local User Group meetings and an annual SharePoint Saturday event, the first of which is scheduled to take place in Jersey on 27 September.”
