Founded in 1975, Les Amis empowers islanders with learning disabilities and associated medical conditions.

Les Amis supports around 100 adult Islanders at any one time via three services:
residential homes,
domiciliary (support for those living independently),
respite (24 hour 'home' away from home).
The organisation goes beyond care provision, offering a Social Club for its residents and service-users with 87 events held in 2023, having recycled over 800 tonnes of commercial cooking oil since 2018 via its sustainable social enterprise, and was recently accredited as an Investor In People GOLD employer.
