Applications are invited from members of the public interested in becoming a member of the Management Board of the Jersey Teachers' Superannuation (JTSF).
The role of the Management Board is similar to that of a board of trustees, and includes an equal number of employer and employee representatives. The successful applicant will be appointed as an employer representative. All positions on the Board, except the Chairperson, are honorary.
The Board's responsibilities are outlined in the legislative Orders relating to the Scheme. It meets four times each year and meetings are usually scheduled from 4pm to 7pm. Its sub-committees, which the member may be invited to join, also meet from time to time.
Applicants should have an appropriate professional background, good communication skills and preferably knowledge and experience of the pension industry.
