St Martin nomination meetings

Description

A nomination meeting will be held in the Public Hall on Thursday 26 January at 7pm for the following business:

  • to elect one Centenier to complete a three year term of office expiring March 2026
  • to elect one Procureur du Bien Public to complete a three year term of office expiring March 2026

A nomination form for each candidate for election must be produced to the meeting and must be completed by a proposer and 9 seconders who are electors in the Parish.

In each election:

  • if there are more candidates than vacancies, a poll will be held on Wednesday 8 March 2023
  • if there are not more candidates than vacancies, any duly nominated candidate will be declared elected at the nomination meeting

You must have registered by midday on Wednesday 25 January 2023 to vote in this election.

An Assembly of Principals and Electors of the Parish of St Martin will be held in the Public Hall, at 7.30pm on Thursday 26 January to:

  • receive and if deemed advisable, approve the minutes of the Parish Assembly held on 5 December 2022
  • elect an Officier du Connétable for the Vingtaine de Faldouet for a three year term of office

Presentations to Honorary Police Officers will be made at the end of the Assembly.
