St Peters Youth & Community Centre Tea Room Manager Position

Description

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual with previous supervisory or managerial catering experience who is also a seasoned cook or chef.

The Village Tea Room is at the heart of facilities offered by the Parish at the Community Centre and has successfully achieved the 5 star environmental health rating for cleanliness, food storage and preparation.

This position reports to the Youth and Community Centre Committee and is responsible for managing the Tea Room providing realistically priced, healthy and tasty food and beverage to the community.

Applicants should be qualified to level 3 Food and Hygiene although you may apply if you have achieved Level 2 Food and Hygiene and are prepared to complete Level 3. You should be able to demonstrate a level of professionalism and people skills required to manage a very busy operation with a flexible and dedicated kitchen team of circa 8 staff which includes young members of our community. The Tea Room is open Monday to Saturday 8am to 3pm, with alternate Sunday opening 8.30am to 1pm for Car Boot sales throughout the year.

This is a salaried position based on 42 hours per week requiring a significant degree of flexibility to ensure appropriate staffing levels to deliver the required standards of catering and customer service during opening hours while maintaining food hygiene, safety and security to required standards.
