Jersey Community Foundation is calling on charities and community groups in the arts, heritage, sports and science sectors to apply for a portion of over £250,000 of funding in the next 30 days, by Friday 14 April.

The Channel Islands Lottery Fund distributes grants to worthy causes throughout Jersey, providing funding for essential community services and activities.

Anna Terry, CEO of Jersey Community Foundation, says, “Funding for organisations and voluntary groups that support the community and wellbeing of Islanders is critical, especially at this challenging time during the current cost-of-living crisis.

“We invite applications for funding from a wide range of community groups and charities, whether large or small, established or new, well known or working behind-the-scenes. If you run a project that fits into one of our broad themes - arts, heritage, sports or science - we encourage you to apply in good time so that we can best support you and your application.

“Organisations in these sectors uplift, enrich and advance our lives and often run on small budgets, prioritising benefit to the community over profit. We are pleased to be able to support such organisations who enrich the lives of Islanders every day.”

A small sample of previous Jersey Community Foundation, Channel Islands Lottery funded projects include: the Jersey Festival of Words (£30,000); after-school table tennis coaching with Jersey Table Tennis Association (£4,725); themed live story sensory sessions with Touch Trust Therapy at Mont a L’Abbe School (£5,000); a study into the grey long-eared bat with Sangan Island Conservation Ltd (£20,000); and keeping elderly and disabled people active with Laugh, Move and Groove (£2,763).

Funding criteria is in place, but Jersey Community Foundation encourages enquiries to scope out projects for possible funding with our grants team.

Visit Jersey Community Foundation’s website to apply or email grants@jerseycommunityfoundation.org to discuss your application further.
