The Big Festive Giveaway, has been created as a way of thanking loyal customers for their continued support and helping to boost the local community by shopping with Co-op all year.

The initiative will launch on Friday 3rd December and last until 19th December.

The in-store giveaway aims to bring festive cheer to shoppers in the lead up to Christmas by giving customers who spend £45 in any store across Jersey and Guernsey a complimentary scratch card, which will give them a chance of winning one of over 30,000 prizes.

With 110,000 scratch cards in circulation, Islanders have a great chance of winning one of the generous prizes which range from a Christmas Treat (e.g., mince pies, chocolates etc.), bottles of wine, £100 vouchers or a grand prize of a 50” Samsung TV. All prizes can be redeemed up until 14th January 2022.

The Christmas Treat is a special prize that will be given by the store colleagues, which will surprise and delight customers. This year, the focus for Christmas at Co-op is All the ingredients for a great Christmas and the giveaways are an example of one of the ways in which the stores are aiming to deliver a great Christmas to shoppers.

Mark Cox, Chief Executive Officer, said “This year it was more important than ever that we show thanks to our customers who have continued to boost the local community during an incredibly challenging time.

“Our theme for All the ingredients for a great Christmas is all about highlighting that communities are at the heart of everything we do at Co-op and that we have all the quality items Islanders need to create their ultimate Christmas feasts.

“The in-store giveaways are just one of the ways in which we are showing gratitude to our customers and help us spread a bit of festive cheer along the way.”
