ABN AMRO Private Banking was named ‘Best Overall European Private Bank’ at the WealthBriefing European Awards 2014, as well as ‘Best Domestic Clients Team’ for the second year running at an awards ceremony held in London on 15th May.
Judged by a panel of senior executives of international private banks, industry consultants and WealthBriefing editorial staff, ABN AMRO Private Banking was recognised for its balanced international presence, the strength of its multi-branding across different markets and consistent client focus across all its operations.
ABN AMRO Private Banking includes a network of respected domestic private banks and has had a long-standing presence in the Channel Islands, with offices in both Jersey and Guernsey. The Jersey branch is this year celebrating 40 years of service in the island, serving the needs of its local and international clients.
Phil Harvey, commercial head, at ABN AMRO Bank in Jersey, said: “We are delighted that ABN AMRO Private Banking has been recognised with these prestigious awards. Our dedicated team in Jersey has a reputation locally for impeccable client service and we are proud that our brand has been acknowledged for its balanced international presence and its consistent focus towards meeting the needs of our clients throughout our European network.”
Jeroen Rijpkema, CEO of ABN AMRO Private Banking International, said: “We are quite unique in pursuing a multi-domestic, multi-brand strategy, which includes some of the most established private banks in each of our core European markets - alongside a well integrated global network and our growing franchise in Asia. These awards recognise our focus on our clients in well selected markets and the ongoing efforts we make to remain relevant to them in the face of technological and demographic change.”
The awards ceremony was held during a gala dinner held at the Guildhall in the City of London on Thursday 15th May.
