With the March deadline for BREXIT fast approaching, this year’s UBS Forum, being held at The Royal Yacht in Jersey on 29 January 2019, provides an ideal and timely opportunity for attendees to interact and engage with UBS experts for an in-depth overview of the latest economic and financial outlook.
Bringing together theexpert knowledge from over 900 global analysts, this year’s Forum will be addressing the current challenges within the UK, Jersey and beyond, as well as focusing on UBS’s Chief Investment Office capabilities, forthcoming trends and investment opportunities.
The first presentation on the agenda will see representatives from the UBS UK Investment Office, Dean Turner, Economist and Caroline Simmons, Deputy Head, addressing the "Turning Points" facing the global economy in 2019 which could see greater volatility and less predictable investment returns.
The Head of the Europe Programme at Chatham House, Thomas Raines, will be updating the audience on the very current topic of political volatility and risk in the West. Focus will then move to the associated impact on global financial markets with a presentation
on the pitfalls of investing in this environment and what investors can do to avoid them from James Mulford, Head of UBS Global Mandates & Investment Content (UK & Jersey)
The event will be introduced by Tom Hill, Group Country Head of UBS Jersey and finish with a lively panel discussion and questions from the audience. The moderator of the event will be Michael Clarke, Head of Private Clients at UBS Wealth Management Jersey.
