Baker & Partners has been ranked in the top tier of Jersey legal firms for Dispute Resolution in the 2016 Legal 500 Index. This makes Baker & Partners the only bespoke litigation firm in Jersey operating in the top tier.
The Legal 500 assesses the strengths of law firms in over 100 jurisdictions to produce an authoritative yearly index. To achieve a Tier 1 ranking for Dispute Resolution, a legal firm must demonstrate experience and expertise in complex cases involving contentious trusts, asset tracing and recovery and fraud. Given the level of complexity and the expertise required, it is extremely difficult for firms to achieve a Tier 1 ranking.
Tier 1 firms are assessed on the strength of their team as a whole, and must evidence expertise in a cross-section of their lawyers – not just leading partners. Top tier firms must also evidence continued investment in the development of junior members of the legal team and a clear commitment to innovation.
