The Blue Diamond Group of Garden Centres are donating 100% of the sale proceeds for the ‘Peace’ rose to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Since the start of this campaign, on the 4th of March 2022, over 600 “Peace" roses have been sold to date, amounting to more than £10,000 in donations which will be paid to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this campaign.

The Group have approximately 2200 Peace roses, worth £43, 978 which have been grown on their nursery, to sell. Peace roses will continue to be sold in all Blue Diamond Garden Centres until the stock of these roses has sold out and the full retail value is donated to the appeal.

The ‘Peace’ rose is available in all Blue Diamond Garden Centres and online at www.fryersroses.co.uk, whilst stocks last.

And that is not all…

Around 8 aircraft will depart today and tomorrow from Southend Airport full of medical supplies.

The equipment consists of surgical supplies, ventilator equipment, oxygen equipment, ECG machines and much more.

After loading at Southend, the team will fly to Poznan in Poland to stay overnight. On Saturday morning each aircraft has an allotted slot to arrive at Lublin Airport which is approximately 35 miles from the Ukraine border. The equipment will be handed over to the Ministry of Health for onward distribution.

This has been organised by the husband of one of our members of staff who is a Doctor, and Blue Diamond are supporting the effort by paying £3,500 for the costs of fuelling the planes.
