Thanks to the generous support of the Lions Club of Jersey Swimarathon, local resident caregivers can enjoy a subsidised break at the newly refurbished hotel.

Ideal for a respite break, Maison des Landes is offering overnight stays which will include breakfast and dinner. Thanks to the Lions’ support, the cost for two people sharing a double room will be half the usual price for however many nights chosen..

Steve Martin, Maison des Landes’ general manager, says: “This week is Carers Week nationwide and to commemorate the vital service carers give to the community here in Jersey, Maison des Landes Hotel is announcing an offer of a respite break to local carers and those they care for, and thanks to the support from the Lions, we can do this at an unbeatable price and at any time until the end of October.”

As the hotel is fully accessible, it  is ideally suited for people with disabilities and their carers. However any local people who are looking after a loved one can take advantage of this ‘staycation’. This offer is subject to room availability and to be eligible, carers can  to be either registered with the Jersey Care Association or similar body or the care receiver is in receipt of Long Term Care.  Those eligible are advised to contact the Hotel promptly as the demand is likely to be substantial and limited to the extent of the Lions’ generous funding.
