Eliot Lincoln, CEO Greenlight, is to speak to Jersey business leaders about ‘Leading Effective Change’ next month.
Hosted by Jersey International Business School, the 2016 Jersey Leadership Forum is an opportunity for business leaders to learn more about the latest leadership issues, trends, and challenges.
Since founding Greenlight in 2008, Eliot has worked with businesses across the Channel Islands, helping managers and directors with strategic and transformative change.
Eliot, who is also Vice President of Jersey’s Chamber of Commerce, and Vice Chair of Jersey Business, will be speaking to delegates about how to lead change during uncertain times.
He said: “Regardless of the industry, all leaders have to face the prospect of change at some point. Whether that change is planned or unexpected, being prepared that things will change is the first step to being prepared for change.
“When a company wants to introduce changes, these changes need to be championed from the top down, otherwise they will never happen. And while leaders need to be strong, they need the right people around them to enact the changes.”
Eliot was the winner of the 2012 Jersey IoD Director of the Year for a Medium Sized Business and 2012 UK National Young Director of the Year. Greenlight has recently gone though its own period of change. Earlier this year, the company joined BDO Jersey and Sator to form a leading integrated professional services firm spanning audit, tax, outsourcing, financial services regulatory advisory and change consulting.
Eliot said: “Change is constant, and whether that means being more innovative, more global, or more integrated, leaders need to decide on the best course for their business, ensure they have the right support (both internally and outsourced), and motivate their teams to follow through.
“Change is vital to any business as staying the same means going backwards if everything else is changing around you. The way leaders embrace and manage change is thus a key determinant for how successful a business will be in the future.”
The 2016 Jersey Leadership Forum takes place Thursday 8 December, at Jersey International Business School. For tickets see http://www.jerseyleadershipforum.com
Chris Usher, Chairman of the Jersey Leadership Forum, said: “The conference is a great opportunity for Jersey’s business leaders to get an insight into the issues that matter from some of the island’s key experts. From operational strategy, to succession planning, and of course, change management, we expect the conference to help move the agenda forwards on a wide range of topics.”
