Jersey Hospice Care is excited to unveil its fantastic new range of high quality, reasonably priced Christmas stock, which is on sale in their Union Street shop.
Since 2016, the Town Fundraising Shop has stocked new Christmas items, having witnessed a gap in the seasonal market locally and being unable to keep up with local demand from the donated Christmas stock.
Whilst we will always rely heavily on donations from the community, we are continually looking at ways to diversify. We have seen how other fundraising shops in the UK and locally have successfully changed their strategy. As a result, we are expanding the range of items we sell by having new stock in limited sections. Our new range includes Christmas wreaths, crackers, ornaments, baubles, candles and more; in fact almost everything you need to make your house looking fabulously festive!
John Leggett, Retail Operations Manager at Jersey Hospice Care, is delighted by the reaction already seen from customers. He said, ‘We have already received extremely positive feedback from customers, with some even taking photographs of the range. There are some real bargains including beautiful boxes of crackers from just £4.99 and 20m of wrapping paper for only £3.49.
‘The vast majority of the stock in both our fundraising shops will always come from donations from generous supporters. It costs £6.7 million a year to run Jersey Hospice Care. In 2018, our shops raised £1.1 million, which helps us to look after patients in our In Patient Unit, in the community and our Day Hospice. We also care for families through our Emotional Support Service and Community Bereavement Service.’
Our Town Christmas Shop is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00.
