The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Jersey Branch is pleased to announce that its Channel Islands Conference will take place on Thursday 17th October 2017 at the Royal Yacht Hotel. The event is open to all staff from all levels and business sectors from across the Channel Islands.

In this one-‐day conference there will be ten speaker sessions that will explore and discuss the application of technology in our daily work, expose how technology can both facilitate and frustrate, as well as how to manage the digitally divided generations in the workplace.

Kevin Keen, President of CMI Jersey commented, “ Managers in all business sectors across the Channel Islands are increasingly aware that old management methods are just not enough in the challenging times that business faces today, this is without the impact of a Digital Age that will continue to grow in importance. We hope our conference will provide some inspiration on how to start to embrace all things digital and enable managers to take full advantage of what the digital age can offer to their business challenges in line with increased customer expectations.”

The conference is being run in association with CMI in the UK, Digital Jersey, and with support from Savilles Consulting and JT Global. The conference is open to both CMI Members and Non Members.

Ted Ridgway Watt, CEO of Digital Jersey commented, “We are delighted to be sponsoring an event in collaboration with CMI. One of our main remits, as Digital Jersey is to engage and grow our digital community; we value and understand the importance of making improvements in schools, the workplace and the wider community. The conference will contain insight into some of the small changes that have a big impact. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is that we embrace modern technology and use it to our advantage at all levels and in all aspects of our lives, where possible.”
