Clients endorse Carey Olsen for customer focus - Chambers UK 2014

Carey Olsen has achieved four band one rankings across Guernsey and Jersey in the Chambers UK rankings, released on Wednesday, 30 October, placing the law firm in joint first position overall across the Channel Islands.

Carey Olsen has achieved four band one rankings across Guernsey and Jersey in the Chambers UK rankings, released on Wednesday, 30 October, placing the law firm in joint first position overall across the Channel Islands. 

Chambers is one of the world’s leading reference directories.  The UK guide annually ranks onshore and offshore law firms and focuses on seven practice areas in the Channel Islands using a three-pronged process which combines law firm submissions, practice interviews and client feedback.  

Carey Olsen was ranked in band one for two practice areas in Guernsey and two in Jersey and achieved the highest number of tier one rankings of any law firm in Guernsey.

This year Jersey's corporate and finance team moved into tier one and Jersey’s investment funds team moved into tier two. The firm maintained its band one position  for corporate and finance legal services in Guernsey, dispute resolution in Jersey and trusts in Guernsey and its band two rankings for trusts in Jersey and dispute resolution services in Guernsey.

The law firm's Guernsey office achieved more tier one rankings of any law firm based on the island.

Research carried out by Chambers UK produced a significant number of client endorsements as well as on specific individuals.  In particular, the offshore law firm received a range of feedback from clients commending its approach to client service:

• “Responsive and willing to engage early in good faith. A focus on what is best for the client."
• "They really get to know their clients and are therefore able to tailor their advice around their clients' needs”

The law firm's international network also received strong client recognition with one client stating: "They have a very international perspective in their business and are well connected in the major economies and finance centres." 

A total of 23 Carey Olsen partners featured in the individual rankings table across the seven practice areas, six in tier one.
