Starting this week, islanders looking for help with consumer issues or advice can now visit the Jersey Consumer Council at Jersey Central Library between 17:00 and 18:30.
With covid restrictions easing and extension of the library open hours, the Jersey Consumer Council has arranged to set up a stand at the library.
Commencing on Wednesday 19 May, and weekly, thereafter, Council members will be located at the base of the library stairs.
Members of the public who have consumer-related concerns are invited to pop in and discuss the matter. A note of the enquiry and person’s contact details will be taken with any actions progressed during the following days.
Carl Walker, the Council’s Chairman, commented: “We’re keen to make the Jersey Consumer Council as accessible as possible, and hope this gives consumers another avenue to engage with us.”
Initially, the evening sessions will be run for a four-week trial basis to monitor interest.
