De Gruchy's Funeral Care has been recommended by the Good Funeral Guide, making it the first funeral care provider in the Channel Islands to receive such an endorsement. Gary Tye, Manager of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care, said it was a great achievement for all colleagues at De Gruchy’s.

‘We commit ourselves in going the extra mile and providing a truly caring and understanding service for our client families,’ said Mr Tye.

‘To have a truly independent, client-focused group conduct an in-depth appraisal of our working ethos and the service we provide and recommend De Gruchy’s as one of the best, is an outstanding tribute to the whole team.

‘It is a team I am proud to manage and I would like thank all of them personally for their continued efforts in ensuring that our client families’ needs are met within any job we are doing.’

The Good Funeral Guide is an independent community interest company, looking to identify and celebrate the work of best practitioners in the funeral industry. It is focused on quality of service, value for money and the understanding of the client families’ needs.

Charles Cowling, director of the Good Funeral Guide, said:

‘The Good Funeral Guide has strict criteria that must be met to receive a recommendation and it is therefore testament to the way the De Gruchy’s Funeral Care team operates that they have been recognised in this way.

‘The way in which De Gruchy’s so sensitively and intelligently serve their clients is a rare thing. The good people of Jersey are jolly lucky to have them.’

De Gruchy’s Funeral Care has been part of The Channel Islands Co-operative Society since 2009. It is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Funeral Planning Authority. The funeral care provider has three chapels of rest in Jersey and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
