Take a step towards a more dementia friendly island.
Dementia Jersey is inviting all islanders to step up to fight dementia by signing up to the Memory Walk on 18th September 2022. The aim of the walk is to give islanders an opportunity to remember loved ones and help raise funds to support the 1,600 people in Jersey living with dementia.
Dementia Jersey provides advice, information and support to everyone affected by dementia in whatever way. The charity seeks to raise awareness and improve understanding of dementia throughout the island, with the aim to make Jersey a dementia friendly island.
There are two ways people can get involved in the Memory Walk; joining the official Dementia Jersey walk or choosing their own preferred route.
Claudine Snape, CEO, Dementia Jersey, said: “Our memory walk is for those who have lost people who had dementia, those with family or friends currently living with the condition or people who simply want to take on a challenge and raise money for a good cause. It’s a great family friendly opportunity for islanders to show support for people living with dementia,
The official 5k route for the Memory Walk is from La Fregate to St.Brelade’s Parish Hall and will start at 10.30 am on Sunday 18th September 2022.
