Deutsche Bank's sophisticated custody business in Jersey and Guernsey has been recognised for the second year in a row at the Custody Risk European Awards 2013, held recently in London.

Deutsche Bank's sophisticated custody business in Jersey and Guernsey has been recognised for the second year in a row at the Custody Risk European Awards 2013, held recently in London.

The Bank retained the title of ‘Custodian of the Year in the Channel Islands' in the Custody Risk European Awards 2013, which took place on Wednesday 20th November at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

Now in their tenth year, the Custody Risk European Awards are organised by the Incisive Media Group. Aiming to identify the best companies in custody, fund administration and technology across Europe, they are recognised as one of the most prestigious awards in the securities servicing industry.

Selected for the award by a highly experienced independent judging panel, Deutsche Bank's custody business, which has been established for over 40 years in the Channel Islands and caters for institutional clients, including regulated funds, and private individuals was described as ‘impressive'. The Award was presented to Lisa Haggarty, Vice President, Financial Intermediaries for Deutsche Bank Channel Islands.

Antony Chambers, Publisher of Custody Risk, said:

"Deutsche Bank has repeated its success of 2012's awards, securing an impressive win in this category. The bank was the recipient of some impressive Guernsey domiciled mandate awards over the past year and has enhanced its Channel Islands offering with in-house reporting tools and a wealth controlling platform designed to support professional investors in the management of assets."

Mark Osment, Director, Financial Intermediaries at Deutsche Bank Channel Islands, commented:

"To have retained this title for the second year in a row in such a strong category at the Custody Risk European Awards is a real honour. Based on our strong belief that custody is a vital element of our alternative funds industry, Deutsche Bank continues to play a major role in positioning both Guernsey and Jersey as leading European centres for custody business. Particularly in the recent economic climate, clients need to feel sure that they are able to meet some of the most significant challenges they have ever faced in the custodial space, and this award reflects the fact that Deutsche Bank's combination of stability, market knowledge, flexibility and innovation is meeting those client demands."
