The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Jersey Committee wishes to sincerely thank all those who have given generous donations in 2021 in memory of HRH Prince Philip.

These donations, whether by a cheque in the post or the retiring collection at the memorial service in the Town Church, will be used to support young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Jersey.

This year, the DofE Jersey Committee is inviting applications for grants of up to £500 each, particularly to help young people with additional needs – such as physical or learning disabilities, mental health challenges, difficult family circumstances or financial issues.

Committee Chairman, Mike Entwistle said:

“The DofE Award can have an amazing benefit in the lives of young people. We want to ensure DofE is available to anyone in Jersey aged 14 to 24 years, regardless of their circumstances, abilities or financial situation.

“My message to any young person thinking about the Duke of Edinburgh's Award is this: we can’t do your DofE for you, but we can help you with the cost - and the rest is your own achievement.”

Anyone who wishes to know more about a grant should speak to the DofE Leader in their school or youth organisation.
