Following the introduction of the States ebike grant scheme last month, many potential ebike buyers have discovered there a very few bikes available locally through the participating retailers to try before they buy.
Jeremy Le Rossignol from A2B C.I. Electric Bikes has recognised the opportunity to bring Andrew Kilbride, the UK & Europe Sales Manager for the A2B brand of ebikes to our shore this weekend, accompanied by Giuseppe Montenegro, Sales Executive for Europe. Together, the team brings six different ebikes for everyone to try and are offering a discounted price for the relaunch weekend with models starting from £999.
Jeremy, an estate agent by day and who recently launched Le Rossignol Estates, first introduced Jersey to the A2B brand three years ago with test rides at the Barclays Jersey Boat Show when over 150 enthusiastic locals gave one a try. Jeremy made a handful of sales at the event but realised that Jersey was not quite ready to take the leap on to this carbon friendly, fun and practical medium of transportation.
A relatively high outlay is required for an ebike, made easier by the States’ 20% grant towards the cost of purchase subject to a maximum of £300, coupled with the flexible purchase plans that will be on offer at this one off event they start to look more affordable, particularly when considering that a monthly season parking ticket now costs £123.31.
Aimed at our island’s commuters who would consider cycling to work if it were not for the uphill battles they would likely face during parts of their journey, like them or loathe them, they are destined to become a welcome addition to our island’s roads. Anyone considering buying an ebike now or in the future should pop down to The Lido, Havre des Pas between 10 am and 4pm on Saturday and Sunday to try one out.
