Family Nursing and Home Care benefit from donation

Moore Stephens and Close Finance have donated £425.01 to Family Nursing and Home Care Jersey.

Moore Stephens and Close Finance have donated £425.01 to Family Nursing and Home Care Jersey. 

The donations were raised through a Breakfast Briefing event held by Moore Stephens and Close Finance in November which saw 86 guests attend from a variety of industries including the recruitment, finance and hospitality sectors.

Family Nursing and Home Care provides an island-wide range of high quality community nursing and home care services that are accessible and appropriate to the needs of the community from birth to end of life.

The service has formed a partnership with the Health and Social Services and Education Departments to establish a Children’s Centre in the Samares area of the island. The Centre will provide services to help to reduce inequalities faced by families living in areas of need.

Ivo Le Maistre Smith, fundraising manager at Family Nursing and Home Care said: “Thanks to donors like Moore Stephens and Close Finance, the Child and Family Centre in Samares will help local children to reach their full potential and the support we will provide from the Centre will improve outcomes for local children and their families, by reducing inequalities in child development and school readiness, parenting aspirations and skills, and family health and life chances.

“We are immensely grateful to both Moore Stephens and Close Finance for their generosity and fundraising efforts.”

It was interesting to hear about their ambitions and discuss with them their future plans as we feel that they have an invaluable offering to local families. Philip Legrand, business development manager at Close Finance, said: “The Breakfast Briefing event was a great opportunity to get business professionals together who wouldn’t usually have the opportunity to meet but it also was a fantastic opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a very worthy cause. Times are tough at the moment for families but Family Nursing and Home Care is making a fantastic effort to support islanders and help in any way they can.”
