Deputy Kevin Lewis, the Minister for Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is making Sunday 22 December a Free Bus Day.

With shops open for the last Sunday shopping before Christmas, the Minister has taken the opportunity of both supporting town traders and promoting sustainable travel by allowing passengers free travel on all bus services throughout Sunday 22 December.

From the first departure on service 15 at 5.30am, right up until the last journeys after 11pm, no fares will be charged this Sunday. The range of destinations has recently been extended so it is advisable to check timetables on www.libertybus.je.

The TTS Minister said: “I am pleased to be able to extend this offer to regular bus users, but I also hope others will take advantage of this initiative and opt to take the bus and leave their cars at home.”
