£13,000 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey at an annual golf day hosted by C5 Alliance, which is part of the BDO Group in Jersey.

This is C5 Alliance’s eighth time hosting the golf day at the Royal Jersey Golf Club, and the money raised will help Macmillan Jersey offer free emotional support, practical information, and wellbeing services to people in Jersey with any type of cancer and at any stage, along with their families and friends.

Stephanie Gibaut, Chief Executive Officer at Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey, said: “We’re incredibly grateful that our friends at C5 Alliance supported us again this year with another successful golf day, helping raise vital funds and awareness for our local charity. We would also like to thank the team at BDO Jersey who continue to sponsor the event.

“Macmillan Jersey receive no funds from Macmillan UK nor the Government of Jersey – meaning events such as these are vital in allowing our team to support anyone in Jersey affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone involved!”

Matthew Corbin, CEO of BDO Group in Jersey, said: “We are thrilled to have raised £13,000. Macmillan is an extremely worthy cause and supports so many of our Islanders. We are very grateful for the generosity of all who took part and donated.”
