Having raised more than £135,000 for charity over the past eight years through its annual cycling event, Prosperity Day, this year Prosperity are adding the Gran Fondo Jersey to their event calendar as lead sponsor.
The Gran Fondo Jersey is the biggest mass participation cycling event in Jersey, taking place on Sunday 23rd April to raise funds for Jersey Cheshire Homes. There are two categories; the 110km sport event for more serious cyclists and the 70km classic event which is open to e-bikes and cyclists looking for a personal challenge.
Prosperity Day itself will be back later in the year but this time at their new waterfront premises, with new equipment and corporate teams once again challenging themselves to take on a virtual section of the Tour de France for charity.
On top of all that, Prosperity continues to support Durrell and Macmillan Jersey through their sponsorship of Dragonfish Row and their finance director, Peter Wright who was part of the rowing pair along with Steve Hayes. They will be hosting a fireside chat with the team for guests at an invitation only event to find out more about the highs and lows of their incredible 3000 miles Atlantic row and hope to continue to help them reach their £50,000 target.
As part of their ongoing support of Durrell, Prosperity is also adopting a tortoise sculpture as part of the Tortoise Takeover Trail happening over the summer. In addition, they are sponsoring a small tortoise for the children of Les Landes primary school to decorate with a design that reflects the ethos of their school.
Chris Clark, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity 24/7 said, “We believe that if we look after our clients, colleagues, and community equally, we will all prosper. By supporting these incredible events in Jersey’s calendar this year, we feel we are living up to our ethos. All these events will help us all to go the extra mile for these important charities.”
