Businesses such as FSB are choosing to come to destinations such as Jersey, not only for the fantastic facilities and service offered by hotels such as Grand Jersey, but also to offer a more exclusive experience for delegates.
FSB is a not for profit organisation, run by members for members. FSB offers its members a wide range of vital business services including advice, financial expertise, support and a powerful voice in government. FSB’s mission is to help smaller business achieve their ambitions.
Senator Lyndon Farnham opened the event, and the packed programme ran from Thursday 29th September through to Sunday 2nd October. Over the weekend delegates were able to listen to motivational speakers, interesting after dinner speakers such as Perry McCarthy, the original Stig from TV’s Top Gear, take part in workshops and team building activities, watch movies in Grand Jersey’s cinema, and also experience the culinary delights offered by Grand Jersey’s Executive Chef Nicolas Valmagna, who created an array of delicious dishes, specifically tailored to the needs of FSB using the very best of local produce.
Mike Cherry, National Chairman at FSB said, “We couldn’t have asked more of Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, either in terms of the location, food, overall facilities or service, all of which was five star. The team has catered to our every need and we could recommend other organisations consider locations such as this for their conferences and events.”
Commenting, Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa’s General Manager Martin Kelly said, “I am delighted that FSB chose Grand Jersey for their 2016 conference. It was an honor to offer exclusive use of the hotel to host the many delegates, which numbered almost 125, who had traveled from the Scottish Islands, Northern Island, England and Wales. It is also fantastic that FSB chose to hold their national sales conference in Jersey, demonstrating the great opportunities the island offers in the shoulder season and winter months. Conferences and events such as this have a positive impact on many of the businesses not just the hospitality sector.”
