Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa hopes to wheel even more happiness through the hotel next week to celebrate the United Nations International Day of Happiness on 20th March.

A special ‘treat’ trolley will be making its way around the AA Five Star St Helier Hotel after breakfast and again later in the afternoon on Tuesday with a variety of goodies for guests to choose from.

They can tuck into complimentary sweet treats like petits fours, macaroons or mini chocolate bars gifted by La Mare Wine Estate as well as drinks from the bar including Champagne, a glass of wine, a refreshing G&T, or simply a cup of tea or coffee. There are express manicures and pedicures and even some day passes for the spa on offer, a special treat to save for another day!

Commenting on the event, Simon Miller General Manager of Hand Picked Hotels Jersey, said, “We’re delighted to be joining in the celebrations taking place all around the world to mark International Day of Happiness.

“It’s our priority to ensure everyone has the best possible visit with us and this is just a little something extra we can do to brighten our guests’ day and we hope they will all enjoy the selection of goodies we have on offer.”

The United Nations International Day of Happiness is coordinated by Action for Happiness, a non-profit movement and was celebrated for the first time in 2013. All 193 United Nations member states have adopted a resolution calling for happiness to be given greater priority.
