The Harbour Bar & Café at St Helier’s Elizabeth Terminal has closed for business, with immediate effect.

Announcing the closure, the owners of the bar and café said, ‘It is with regret that we can confirm the management has taken the decision to close. However, it is not for one sole reason that has made us come to this but a number of circumstances that have led us to this point. We would like to thank our customers for their loyalty and commitment to us over the past 12 years and in particular we are sincerely grateful to the dedicated staff who have worked with us over the years.’

In response to the announcement, Group Commercial Director for the Ports of Jersey, Myra Shacklady says, ‘We are sorry to hear of the decision by the management of the Harbour Bar & Café to close. It has provided not only sea passengers but local residents with a popular eating and drinking facility over the years.’

Although the venue has closed, Ports of Jersey would like to reassure sea passengers using the terminal that a facility offering light refreshments will be made available to them until a more permanent solution is found.
