Jersey-based fund manager, Craig Farley, has been awarded a top performance ranking for the equity fund that he manages.
Craig, who has run the Ashburton Chindia Equity Fund for over three years, has been given a “AAA” Fund Manager Rating, the highest award for performance available from Citywire, a leading independent information provider of news for professional advisers and investors around the world.
Earlier this year the Fund, which invests in China and India stock markets as well as companies where a significant proportion of growth derives from China or India, won its second consecutive Raging Bull award in South Africa for outstanding performance. The Jersey domiciled fund is ranked number one in its peer group over three years.
Craig commented: “This rating is a reflection of the collective efforts of the team. We are delighted that the Fund’s consistent performance has been recognised and continue to believe that a combination of China and India offers existing and potential clients the most attractive long term opportunity in an emerging markets context.’’
Chief Investment Officer Jonathan Schiessl added: “It is always very gratifying when someone receives an externally recognised endorsement like this. The rating reflects the hard work and commitment that Craig has put in over the years at Ashburton on the Chinese and Indian equity markets, which at times have been very testing.”
The Ashburton Chindia Equity Fund is available to investors in the Channel Islands and South Africa.
