The Jersey Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) has announced today that Daniel William Finkelstein (Baron Finkelstein) OBE will be the guest speaker at the forthcoming ICSA Jersey Annual Dinner, Awards & Graduation Ceremony. An award-winning journalist and a renowned weekly columnist, Daniel is also a former Executive Editor and now Associate Editor of The Times.
After serving as director of a Westminster think tank focusing on social policy, he became a political advisor to then Prime Minister John Major and later William Hague. He was awarded an OBE for his governmental services in the 1997 honours list.
Daniel was consecutively named 'Political Commentator of the Year' in 2011 and 2012 at the Editorial Intelligence Comment Awards. The following year he was made life peer and given the title of Baron Finkelstein of Pinner, Middlesex.
