Islanders will be able to find out about the progress of the Jersey Care Model programme at four public events which are being held during April and May.

The events, which are open to everyone, will be held in St Helier, St Martin and St Brelade. The final event will be live-streamed on the Government’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter channels.

The drop-in parish events will begin with a short presentation giving an overview of the Jersey Care Model programme. Following the presentation, Islanders will be able to find out more at stands run by Health and Community Services alongside partner health and care organisations and charities.

The drop-in events will be held on:

  • Tuesday 26 April, from 12pm to 1.30pm, at St Helier Town Hall
  • Saturday 30 April, from 10am to 11.30am, at St Martin’s Parish Hall
  • Tuesday 3 May, from 6.30pm to 8pm, at St Brelade’s Parish Hall

Meanwhile, a panel will answer Islanders’ questions during a live-steamed event on Thursday 5 May, from 7pm to 8pm.

During the virtual event, a host will take questions from a studio audience as well as put questions to the panel which have been asked by Islanders online. Anyone who would like to be a member of the studio audience should email JCMAsk@health.gov.je

The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Richard Renouf, said: “I, along with colleagues from Health and Community Services and partner organisations are looking forward to meeting Islanders at these events to hear their views on Jersey’s health and care services and answer any questions they may have.

“It’s important that Islanders have access to those designing and delivering the Jersey Care Model programme, as we are committed to tailoring care to Islanders’ specific needs. I hope that these events will be informative and improve Islanders’ understanding of how healthcare in Jersey is changing to ensure care is centred around the patient.”
