Explore the delightful gardens of Old Farm in Trinity on Sunday 29th May, open by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Clive Chaplin. Highlights include a beautiful formal terrace with pond and rockery, a magnificent arboretum and a lawn with extensive herbaceous borders.
Look out for the many fine specimen trees throughout, in particular the handkerchief tree and the tulip tree. And, to ensure you get the most out of your visit, Neil and Alli Singleton of Birding Tours will be conducting one of their wonderful Nature Walks at 3pm.
Don’t forget to treat yourself to one of JAYF’s delicious Cream Teas, served with Jersey cream and milk. Try your luck with the Tombola. A fantastic family outing and a joy for garden lovers everywhere.
Old Farm will be open from 2pm to 5pm. There will be signposts at nearby junctions. Free parking.
Entrance costs £5 (children under 12 free). The cream teas are £4.00. Regret no dogs. All proceeds go towards JAYF (Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship) who provide hostel accommodation in the Island for young people who would otherwise be homeless.
JAYF are enormously grateful to Aztec Group for its sponsorship of the Open Garden scheme, to Fungi Delecti who provide the cream and to Jersey Dairy who provide the milk.
